We are excited to be welcoming back Deino as an Architectural Designer!
Initially starting at Architecture Advantage in 2024 as an Architectural Intern, Deino has come back full-time after receiving her Bachelor of Architecture, bringing a thoughtful design approach, global perspective, and a strong sense of purpose to the team.
A recent graduate of Dunwoody College of Technology, Deino completed her degree summa cum laude and was recognized with multiple honors, including the Student Leadership Award, the Dunwoody Community Service Award, and the Dunwoody Diversity and Inclusion Award. These recognitions speak not only to her academic success, but to the way she shows up as a leader, collaborator, and advocate for thoughtful, inclusive design.
Deino’s design perspective is shaped by a truly global background. Having lived in multiple countries across Europe and Africa, she brings a deep awareness of cultural context to her work. That experience shows up in how she approaches projects: with curiosity, adaptability, and a genuine interest in understanding the people and communities behind the spaces being designed. With a particular passion for sustainability and social equity, Deino views design as a tool to create positive environmental and social impact. She embraces collaboration across disciplines and sees every project as an opportunity to learn, whether she’s contributing to early concepts, supporting coordination, or digging into research and analysis.
That passion extends beyond the studio. Deino is an active member of BOLD, NOMA, and an Associate AIA member, staying engaged with the profession and the broader design community. In 2024, she presented at the NOMA Conference in Baltimore, where she shared her work from the student design competition centered on the “Highway to Nowhere”—a site in the Edmonson neighborhood of West Baltimore, which was deeply impacted by the construction of Interstate I-70 that cut through a majority-Black neighborhood and displaced homes and businesses, severing access to jobs and opportunity. Deino’s project reimagined the site as a multimodal transit station designed to reconnect the community and create access, mobility, and opportunity where infrastructure once caused harm. The project reflects her belief that design can help repair, rather than reinforce, inequities in the built environment.
Now, back at Architecture Advantage full-time, Deino brings that same thoughtfulness and purpose to her work with clients and project teams. Her return marks an exciting next chapter where her voice, perspective, and values continue to shape both our projects and our culture.
We’re excited to have Deino back on the team and look forward to seeing how her passion for design, sustainability, and social impact continues to grow.
