Duluth, Minnesota, known for its breathtaking natural beauty and vibrant cultural scene, truly comes alive during the summer months. The winters can be brutal, but with its pristine lakeshores, lush forests and a plethora of outdoor activities, Duluth summers offer a paradise for nature enthusiasts and adventure seekers. As winter ends and spring begins to shine its light there is a wonderful energy that unfolds as outdoor networking and golf tournament sponsorship opportunities begin to fill the summer calendar. Architecture Advantage participated in many golf tournaments this year and was a proud sponsor of two of those events: An eagle sponsor of the 13th Annual AIA Northern MN Golf Fundraiser and a hole sign sponsor of the 54th Annual Duluth Chamber Golf Classic
13th Annual AIA Northern MN Golf Fundraiser
Shane is the current Treasurer of the AIA Northern MN board and the director/coordinator of the annual golf fundraiser. The participation this year was a record-breaking year with 15 eagle sponsors, 5 birdie sponsors, and 5 hole sign sponsors, which included participation from 18 teams, 72 golfers, and over $14,000 raised. All proceeds from the event go towards funding the AIA Northern MN architecture education scholarships. These numbers were doubled from last year and a great time was had by all! The day started with a Continuing Education (CEU) Lunch & Learn opportunity presented by Tremco CPG. The program focused on the use of Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF) in commercial buildings, including the benefits they can provide throughout various phases and to the building occupants and owners. The weather provided a true ‘perfect Duluth day’ for the golf outing where participants had the opportunity to take part in many fun games for prizes: marshmallow drive competition, putting contest, chipping contest, and several on-course proxies (longest drive, closest to pin, longest putt & lowest team score). Architecture Advantage’s Royce and Shane participated in the golf tournament as a foursome with two clients from St. Louis County and Members Cooperative Credit Union. The day came to a delightful end with a steak dinner and an enjoyable social gathering.
54th Annual Chamber Golf Classic presented by Aluminum Cabinet Company
The Duluth Chamber Golf Classic is one of the largest and most premier networking events of the year in Duluth, MN. The day is fully booked with teams teeing off every 10 minutes from 7am – 2:10pm. This year 215 golfers, 75 sponsor organizations and volunteers enjoyed golf, networking and games at Ridgeview Country Club. Included with each registration is a light breakfast, grilled lunch, and an after party with appetizers and drinks at the clubhouse with lots of networking. Royce and Shane, again, represented Architecture Advantage in the golf tournament as a foursome with two clients from Brutger Equities and St. Louis County. The day started very windy and cool, but as the day went on the sun began to shine and a great day was had by all!
