Kane Tewes, AIA, Becomes Principal

March 27, 2026

We are excited to announce that Kane Tewes has been named Principal at Architecture Advantage, expanding the firm’s ownership and marking a new chapter of shared leadership. This milestone reflects both his longstanding contributions and his investment in the firm’s future. After many years of meaningful impact, we are thrilled to officially welcome him into ownership. As the firm grows, Architecture Advantage remains proudly woman-owned, continuing its commitment to diverse leadership and the perspective it brings to our work.

Alongside Melissa, Kane has been a strong leader at Architecture Advantage since joining in 2015, later helping to shape and grow the firm’s leadership team. His impact has extended beyond project work—playing a key role in guiding the firm’s growth, culture, and strategic direction.

Kane has built a strong reputation for his thoughtful, client-centered approach and his ability to form lasting relationships grounded in trust, openness, and genuine partnership. He takes the time to truly understand each client’s goals and challenges, helping guide projects in a way that feels steady, collaborative, and aligned with their long-term needs. Alongside his leadership in sustainable design, Kane consistently brings a practical, people-first perspective to every project, ensuring solutions support both performance and the communities they serve.

As a Principal and Owner, Kane’s role reflects a deeper level of commitment to the firm’s vision and long-term success. He will continue to play a key role in shaping the future of Architecture Advantage—strengthening client partnerships, mentoring team members, and helping steward the firm’s continued growth. His transition into ownership underscores our belief in growing from within and investing in leaders who are dedicated to our people, our clients, and our community.

Kane shared that from the moment he joined the firm, he recognized Architecture Advantage as an authentic and distinctive design practice, and he is proud to step into an ownership role. He looks forward to supporting the firm’s continued growth and helping shape what comes next in delivering exceptional design services both locally and across the broader region.

Similarly, Melissa noted that from the day Kane joined the firm, his passion for the team and the work has been evident. His commitment to what the firm is building—both internally and through its projects—made him a natural fit for ownership, and this transition reflects that demonstrated dedication.

This milestone represents not only Kane’s professional achievement, but also his personal investment in the future of Architecture Advantage. We’re proud to recognize his leadership and are excited for the continued insight, accountability, and partnership he will bring as a Principal and Owner. Congratulations, Kane!
