After months of conversation, reflection, and refinement, Architecture Advantage is excited to share our updated Core Values: Collaborative, Adaptable, Intentional, Curious, and Empowering. These values represent who we are today, how we work together, and the culture we continue to build as a firm.
At the beginning of 2026, during our annual January workshop, our team came together to evaluate our existing Core Values. While these values had guided us for years, we recognized the importance of periodically revisiting them to ensure they were still a reflection of who we are, how we work, and where we are headed.

The process was thoughtful, honest, and at times challenging. As we discussed each value, we asked ourselves difficult questions: Were these values truly showing up in our day-to-day work? Did they still resonate with our team? Were they accurately reflecting the culture we’ve built? Through those conversations, it became clear that while some values continued to feel authentic, others no longer represented the firm we have become.
By the end of the workshop, a new direction had begun to emerge. Team members proposed new ideas, shared perspectives, and explored the qualities they believed defined Architecture Advantage at our best. The result was a collection of potential values and themes that captured the way we collaborate, solve problems, support one another, and serve our clients.
Our Leadership Team then gathered the feedback and returned with a refined list for the team to evaluate. During the next phase of the process, discussion groups were challenged to identify the six words they felt best represented Architecture Advantage. While leadership expected a wide range of results, a clear pattern emerged: every group independently selected the same five values. The sixth value varied from group to group, reflecting the unique experiences, perspectives, and strengths each person brings to the firm. But the consistency of those five shared values spoke volumes. It reinforced that while we each contribute something different to the team, we are united by a common foundation of how we work, support one another, and define success together.
Rather than rushing to finalize them, we intentionally gave the values time to settle. Over the following weeks, we tested them against our daily work, reflected on how they showed up in our interactions, and considered whether they truly captured what it means to be part of the Architecture Advantage team.
When we reconvened, the focus shifted from selecting the values to defining them. Through breakout sessions and collaborative discussion, we worked together to give each value meaning and context. In many ways, the process itself became a reflection of the values we were defining. We collaborated to create language that resonated. We adapted when wording didn’t quite capture our intent. We approached the exercise with curiosity, exploring how each person interpreted the values and why they mattered. We were intentional in shaping definitions that would guide our actions. And throughout the process, we empowered one another to share perspectives, challenge assumptions, and contribute to the final outcome.
The result is a set of Core Values that feels authentic to who we are today and meaningful for where we are headed. They guide how we work with one another, how we serve our clients and communities, and how we continue to grow as individuals and as a firm.

These values are more than words on a wall. They are the principles that shape our culture, inform our decisions, and help us create meaningful experiences for our team, our clients, and our communities. As Architecture Advantage continues to evolve, these values will serve as a foundation for how we move forward together.
