Welcome, Seann!

Architecture Advantage recently welcomed Seann to the team! He has joined our St. Paul office as an Architect and Project Manager.

Seann graduated from North Dakota State University with his Master of Architecture degree in 2012 and received his license in 2018. He enjoys working on and has experience with a wide variety of projects from higher education dorms and classrooms to public works offices and facilities. Seann puts an emphasis on collaborating with the clients and project team to develop a building that the owner will take pride in and will utilize for years to come. With an interest in the various aspects of sustainability and the life cycles of products, Seann is looking ahead to completing various wellness and sustainability certifications.

Prior to joining the team, Seann completed work around his hometown of western North Dakota, volunteered with the Peace Corps for two years, and freelanced during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In his free time, he enjoys staying active outside hiking, camping, and biking. When he’s not in nature or working in his woodshop, he loves to travel and experience different cultures.

Storytelling has always been at the forefront of what I love to do, whether it was directing short plays with my sister when we were little, writing and producing them during my time at the University of Minnesota, or going behind the camera to capture my travels in adulthood. Now, in marketing, not only do I get to continue to tell stories, but I have the opportunity to connect with a larger audience. Evaluating social media data and using the information to develop strategies and determine how to tell a story provides a unique challenge that I love taking on every day. I never imagined that I would end up applying my marketing background to the architecture and engineering industry, but it pushes me to think outside of the box and find new ways to put the pieces of the story together.

Seann Ringwall

Ever since I was a kid, I have been fascinated with architecture and construction. I’d frequently find myself biking to nearby construction sites to watch how a simple idea turned into the design on the plan sets and finally into a built project. Alongside this, I was always drawing and exercising my creativity, although, my drawings frequently turned into buildings. From early on, I knew I wanted to go into architecture. I attended North Dakota State University and received my Master of Architecture in 2012. From there, I went to work in my hometown where I started and finished the IDP and ARE licensure tests, receiving my architecture license in  2018. Within architecture, I have a passion for materiality, life cycles, and taking a holistic approach to the design, construction, and life cycle of a building. I love working on a wide variety of projects - learning more with each one - and enjoy when the opportunity arises to pull knowledge from one sphere and apply it to another.
