Welcome, Anna!

Architecture Advantage is excited to welcome Anna Ashton to our team as an Architectural Designer based out of our Duluth office.

Anna was born and raised in Fargo, ND and graduated from North Dakota State University in 2020. She moved to Duluth after graduation and has loved every minute of it. Anna and her husband got married in 2023, and, together, they enjoy spending time with family, doing all kinds of winter skiing, and traveling whenever they get the chance.

After being introduced to architecture in high school through her engineering classes, Anna knew she had found her future career path, saying, “I had all the tells of a kid who would end up in the design field. I enjoyed arts and crafts, constantly rearranging my bedroom furniture, and Legos (of course)!”

Anna has a passion for connecting with people and tailoring designs specifically to their needs while keeping the spaces both beautiful and functional.

We’re thrilled to be part of the next chapter in her career, and we’re looking forward to all that she will bring to the team, clients, and projects. Welcome, Anna!

Storytelling has always been at the forefront of what I love to do, whether it was directing short plays with my sister when we were little, writing and producing them during my time at the University of Minnesota, or going behind the camera to capture my travels in adulthood. Now, in marketing, not only do I get to continue to tell stories, but I have the opportunity to connect with a larger audience. Evaluating social media data and using the information to develop strategies and determine how to tell a story provides a unique challenge that I love taking on every day. I never imagined that I would end up applying my marketing background to the architecture and engineering industry, but it pushes me to think outside of the box and find new ways to put the pieces of the story together.

I was first introduced to architecture in high school through Intro to Engineering classes, which sparked my passion for the field and led me to pursue a Masters of Architecture from North Dakota State University. Over the course of my career, I have remained committed to building strong relationships with clients and creating designs that are both beautiful and functional. I excel in fast-paced environments and take pride in working closely with key collaborators to bring their vision to life. Since earning my degree in 2020, I have honed my expertise in space planning, project management, and fostering effective collaboration within multidisciplinary teams, all while maintaining a strong focus on client-centered design.
