MY STORY
My design career and love of art and architecture started in high school, where I took all the art / architectural courses they offered. I enjoyed the creativity in all mediums of art whether it be drawing, painting, sculpting, textiles or jewelry making, but I realized the challenges in architecture was what interested me the most. I attended Dakota County Technical College to major in Architectural Technology, but realized my passion was more focused in interior design and finishes, and I graduated with an Associate Degree in Interior Design. After working for a small firm for 2 years as an Architectural Drafter and Interior Designer, I made the jump to one of the largest firms in the Midwest. I was hired in the Graphics department, where I realized the principles and elements of design are the same as Interior Design, just using a different medium. While working there I finished graphic design courses. I have now been in the Graphic Design field for almost 40 years, with most of those years being in the Architecture Industry. I continue to have a passion for making my own crafts and artwork. I am a jack of all trades at the office
