Laura Winegardner

Office / Procurement Manager

At a young age my mother instilled a love of music, nature, and the arts.  My interest in design specifically was fashioned when my parents undertook two small additions to my family home.  Observing my father working on space planning and drawing floor plans and assisting my mother with interior finishes.  This interest in interior finishes grew when I was given the opportunity to visit my Aunt in England and toured such grand mansions as Audley End and Chatsworth.  During school I also developed a passion for numbers including geometry and calculus.  These passions translated into pursuing an education in Interior Design in Chicago, where I was also inspired by the amazing architecture.  Upon my graduation and move to Duluth I was very fortunate to work for Maggie Flowers Interior Design and during my seven years working for Maggie I cultivated skills, among others, in procurement and office management.  Now at Architecture Advantage, all the experiences I’ve aquired and all the opportunities I’ve been afforded have provided me with the appreciation for being a part of a cohesive and capable team.
