A ground breaking ceremony was held recently for the Renaissance Heights Apartments project in Williston. The first phase of the development will feature 288 units in five buildings. The project will feature an amenity package including tuck under and detached parking, an indoor pool and spa, a modern fitness center, and theatre with lounge seating, according to a news release from Investors Real Estate Trust (IRET). Larry Brutger, president of Brutger Equities, Inc. (BEI) said he has been pleased to be a part of the growth in Western North Dakota. “It’s been five years next month since I arrived in Williston and Tom (Rolfstad) didn’t have any shovels in his office and now it’s lined with shovels, which is wonderful to see.”
The luxury apartment project is being developed by IRET and BEI. The complex will offer one, two, and three bedroom floor plan options, featuring in-unit washer and dryer, fully equipped kitchens, wood cabinetry, and electronic key fobs at unit entry doors. Floor plans will range from 800 square feet to 1,460 square feet, with cable and Wi-Fi internet service accessible in each unit.
First International Bank and Trust is the lead lender with participation and support from the Bank of North Dakota. Williston Mayor Ward Koeser praised the developers and financial organizations backing the project. “I appreciate companies like you coming to our town,” he said. “I have come to recognize that things like this take a lot of money and we appreciate the involvement of First International Bank and the Bank of North Dakota.”
Upon completion, the Renaissance Heights Apartments project will add approximately 750 units to the area in three phases.
BEI and IRET have also developed the Williston Garden Apartments while BEI has built three hotels in Williston: Candlewood Suites, HomStay Suites and Holiday Inn Express.
